Unlike so many beautiful beaches in Australia, Deepwater National Park Beaches are vehicle free. The pristine beaches are an important breeding ground for marine turtles. The impressive coastline is backed by lush palm forest and can be reached by a 4WD track. You will enjoy a wonderful variety of animals and plants. There is rock pools to explore and you can camp at Middle Rock.
If you want to see the turtles hatch you need to be on the beach after dark between january and april - if you get lucky you see them racing to the water. Don't disturb them and don't bring any lightsources as they will confuse the turtle hatchlings and if they don't find the sea fast they will die.
